This 6 DayS Luxury Safari allows us experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in the trees, elephants amongst the acacias and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. We also visit The Serengeti National Park, home to some 3 million animals. These spectacular grass plains offer the best opportunity of viewing cheetah, leopard, and lion, in the true wild.
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a Rijay Africa Travel representative will meet you. They will drive you to your hotel in Arusha, where you will stay overnight before your adventure safaris begin the next day.
After breakfast in the morning, take a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. You will likely see large groups of baboons first. Lake Manyara National Park is in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara Regions, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley.
The park has many different landscapes and a wide range of plants and animals. It was created to protect the famous elephant herds in the area. Besides elephants, you might also spot tree-climbing lions. The alkaline Lake Manyara is home to flamingos and more than 400 species of birds, and you can often see hippos too.
You will have a packed lunch at a picnic site. In the late afternoon, continue with a short drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll see wildlife. Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous wildlife parks in the world. It is known for its natural beauty and scientific importance. The park has the highest number of plains animals in Africa.
The Great Wildebeest Migration is what Serengeti is most famous for. Each year, over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras travel south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains in October and November. Then, they head west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June. Their instinct to migrate is so strong that nothing, not even droughts or rivers filled with crocodiles, can stop them.
Serengeti is truly home to this amazing migration. The park is full of wildlife and features endless plains, beautiful sunrises, and stunning sunsets. A packed lunch will be provided at a picnic site during your visit. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and stay overnight at a lodge or tented camp.
After an early breakfast, drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous places and has the highest density of wildlife on the continent. Often called an “eighth wonder of the world,” the Crater attracts more visitors each year. You might see other vehicles during your visit, but you will still enjoy impressive wildlife in this stunning setting. There is no other place in Africa like Ngorongoro!
It is one of the best spots in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as lions, wildebeest, zebras, and hippos. The park is home to all of the Big Five and is especially good for seeing lions and Cape buffalo throughout the year. You will have a packed lunch at a picnic site. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and spend the night at the hotel/lodge
After breakfast, your private safari guide will pick you up from the lodge. You will then drive back to Arusha for last-minute shopping, re-packing, and lunch. Finally, you will be taken to the airport to catch your flight home.
